I have a Milltek but you can get the Stratmosphere in the US cheaper and its the same thing. I love it and have had it for 4 years. No drone and nice sound.

FWIW, I am about to remove it and go with a custom SS straight exhaust with my G4 tail section and a G4 rear deffuser. :devil:

Oh and nope, I am not selling my used Milltek.

 

Millitek and Stratmosphere are NOT the same exhaust. The Stratmosphere is a very aggressive exhaust comparitively

The co that makes the Stratmosphere is the exclusive distributor for Millitek in the US. Stratmosphere is made in the USA and the Millitek is a UK co.

On the r53 (this IS the 1st gen sec.) they are identical in sound and overall appearance. If anything my Milltek after a good chunk of mileage, is louder then my buddies Stratmosphere.

I was wondering if the MINI Madness R53 exhaust really a rebranded Milltek exhaust.

I was thinking of getting that when the time comes.

 

See no reason that Milltek would want their exhaust rebranded, ain't saying it isn't but why not go ahead and get a Milltek?

Maybe them or WMW could work out a better price for the Milltek. I hear nothing but good things.

 

The one complaint I have heard from customers is the that the tubing is pinched just before the "Y".

Strange. I see what you mean. I would go for the Milltek vs the MINI Madness if I was on the fence just based on the price difference and on Milltek reputation.

so how much extra horsepower will an aftermarket exhaust add? I have not seen that mentioned anywhere.

 

are you asking about a r53 or r56?
