When I bought my '09, I paid for a Consumer Reports pricing report. It gives you the dealer's invoice price for everything and the MSRP. Back then it was an 11% mark-up from invoice to MSRP. So, if you are really looking to know, you could call them up and buy one yourself. Knowing the margin isn't quite that good anymore... I'd say 16% off MSRP is pretty decent.

I will tell you right now... new car dealers, hate customers like me. I know exactly what I want before I ever set foot in a showroom to make a deal. There is no selling me on, "well, this is almost what you're looking for... and it's only $X,XXX more."
When I ordered my '09... I was pitting 5 different dealerships, in three states, against each other to give me the best price.
None of them wanted to budge..... initially. But they eventually cracked for the sale.
But you are only looking at the leftover lot cars, you'll have a tougher time pitting dealers against each other, if they don't have comparable clubbies sitting on their lot somewhere. -
I believe there is a special right now on the ‘17’s that automatically takes $3500 off MSRP so that should be your starting point. I ordered an ‘18 and they took $2500 off (after a lot of back and forth).

I survived the wait. It was harrowing though.

You got that cool MINI flood light option. I love how that looks.
I thought long and hard about those and the lit door jam panel options on my JCW. I decided against them but purely for the sake of the $ I was spending.
