So recently I've noticed my car not being there when I want to accelerate fast. Like I was on the road the other day and I was trying to change lanes and didn't want to cut the person off so I pressed on the gas all the way till I heard the click kind noise once the gas pedal is down all the way and nothing really happen maybe 5 mph more like it wasn't really there. So my question is what can I do to increase my acceleration only within maintenance no mods. I 've already got a oil change and it's on half tank . I was thinking I would check both air filters. Any comments are welcomed please.

Sounds like you needed to drop a gear to do the pass.....if you are out of a NA motors tq band...not much can help you. If it feels less peppy than it once did, I would make sure basic mataince is current...plugs might make a bit of a difference also....

I drive a automatic with steptroics I believe is what it's called so I can do stick but I didn't have that feature enaged at the time
They're changed the sparkpulgs as well that's why I didn't mentioned it so I'm kinda stumped

Push the button to put you in sport mode. It changes the shift map & makes you car a bit more sporty. Moving the gear lever to the left also puts you in sport mode & gives you the ability to drop down a gear or two for passing.

Mileage on the car? How long have you had it? How long ago did it feel "like it was"?

DO NOT start shotgunning your car with part$. It can cost you a shirt load of money before you hit the right thing, if you ever do.

First do the easy things, have the codes read, find out what they are & go from there.

I'm not a fan of seafudge, but many people like it. Your N12 engine is not a direct injection engine & is not subject to carbon build up like the engines in the R56 MCS are. Buy a bottle of Chevron Techron & pour it in the fuel tank. IMO it is the best fuel system cleaner out there. I pour a bottle in my cars just before each oil change. It won't hurt a thing.

More info on your car will help us help you. :)
