Pre Migration Most liked posts in thread: Lost Day

Here is what happened.

The site was scheduled to be moved to a new server at 10PM Central on the 28th. Files and databases were copied over to the new server. That took longer than the allotted window. This moves us to Friday night for the rest of the move.

Friday night they did the IP address switch for the servers without syncing the latest from the old server.

By the time I saw this it was too late. Weaving in the few 100 posts would have been a nightmare, time consuming and frankly, not worth the effort.

 

Some days I could do without. But yesterday was actually pretty good.

 

During the site move to another server we lost most of Friday.

Oh well, shite happens.

 

All y'all, don't fret. This is not unlike the time the supermarket moved everything around and I voiced a complaint about old people and change. The guy told me not to worry, they wouldn't do it again for maybe another 20 years and I'd be dead by then.

 

I often feel this way....ANd not only on Fridays.

Just previous I had sent a link to a page for a friend to enjoy. Got a message back from him this morning saying there was nothing there.

 

It probably has to do with that thing that Nathan said he would do yesterday at 11:00, but didn't.

 

First it is D.O missing, now Nathan? Not good.

 

Is anyone else getting slow response time when posting? I post something and it takes like 30 seconds before it quits buffering.

 

Looking into this.

 

Wait a minute... Does this mean we still get another day of weekend? [emoji12]
