And to think, I missed all that! And then to think, I couldn't find the thread, because I (silly me) searched for Garry Cooper, who apparently has earned a well deserved alias...

That right there is pretty funny. It also means I will never sign-off these boards; I simply cannot take the risk of a change to a more accurate and descriptive name....

We did lose a lot of his rants tho.

Some good came out of it....

Garry Cooper, AKA, "I Am a Fool", got a new nickname.

Staying in that vein, either Dick or I can take the name, "A Fool and His Money".

I just don't have the heart to go back into the GP/Challenge car video thread, when it turned into another Death Rattle thread and make fun of Dave again, that post is now a pleasant, faded memory. But it is fairly obvious from all of that, that Dave should get a nickname too, and the only obvious choice is "Death-Rattle Dave".....Or "DRD" for short. He's "Super Dave Osborne's long lost cousin..

Well Dick in all fairness you did finish the basement for them, so we'll cut you some slack.

Though if you put as much effort into finishing basements as into finishing MINIs.....

Last night was shall we say....rather interesting.

Yes, there are lost posts. I am sorry.

A week or so ago I tried to install a new plugin for the site. It crashed the site. Was able to back it out rather quickly and no one really noticed. Helped that it was about 3AM Eastern when I played around with that.

Reported to the issue to the folks that wrote the plugin. Unbeknownst to me they picked last night to decide to work on the issue. I only figured out it was them after scouring server logs to see who logged in.

Repeated attempts to get hold of them last night were unsuccessful. There was no activity for quite some time from their end on the server so I decided to revoke their access and resort to a backup from earlier in the day.

So yep, posts were lost and the site was down for a few hours.

Sorry about that.

Probably no big loss though, since they all contained the phrase "death rattle."

 

I still think he lives in mom and dad's basement.

 

Yeah, the post flood upgrades where good for them!

Kinda like blowing up the MINI was good for me, because now I listen, and not just throw money at it in hopes of it working.

 

Yes, I saw the same thing so it's not just you. I texted Nathan last night and he was working on it.

I think M\A had a problem and Nathan was working on it late yesterday.

Nathan will update us when he has time, but for now M\A is back.
