Second that. There's some great A110 video here (skip the first 30 sec): [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=29ykOiaGx3o]ALPINE A110 1300 - YouTube[/ame]
The Lotus is finally in action, it ran in the Geko Ypres Rally over the weekend. I haven't found anything that tells how it did but here are a couple videos from the rally. What's the smaller number next to the gear indicator? It displays a number that stays hovered near 90 and hardly changes (rises to upper 90's later in the video).
That was the only thing I could think of, temp, but I don't know why you would want that as the only other prominent indicator. Back to video. Here's another from the same rally. There's only one clip (that I noticed) of the Lotus but quite a bit more of a rather well driven MINI Rallyman. Ypres Rally serves as test bed for the new Lotus Exige R-GT (RallySportLive.com) If you click through to the article there's a pic of the thing actually getting some air. :eek6:
Good navigators look at their driver's as God's. How else could they sit there & trust the driver not to kill them.
Given the reports this month of the navigator who was killed in a rally accident, I think it would take more than just blind trust to get me into one of those cars during live competition. Takes large, heavy, brass lower "attachments," no question about it...and an addiction to adrenaline. Not for me, but I'd love a ride at maybe 8 / 10ths. :yesnod:
I wonder how Babs co-drove for me back in the day? Seems like the ratio of wannabe driver's to wanna be co-driver's is 5 to 1. A good co-driver can always find a ride, not so with driver's. No doubt it is a very dangerous sport, but one many of us love.
Recent testing: [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lzuMT3h3dSg]Test Lotus Exige R-GT Bernardo Sousa - Rali Vinho Madeira 2012 - YouTube[/ame]
Second that ^ . Based on what you see in that video it looks like they have plenty to do yet. I didn't mention because I can't tell whether they're testing the car or a potential new driver and wondered (still do) whether at least some of that might be down to skill rather than setup.
