Looks great, man! :biggrin5:
Perhaps when I have the ca$h to rent (or, better yet, buy) a welder and to get my bonnet re-shot the proper BRG (long story - the cheeseball dealer where I bought it re-shot it almost the right shade of green) I'll find a donor TR7 and follow down your path. Looks like you sacrificed your window washers for the cause, but, hey, that leaves the reservoir and pump available for spraying water/methanol on the intercooler....
For the time being, I have add-on vents like Helix Wildebeest's, with socket-head screws to give it a somewhat "industrial" look -- hey, if I have to look at screws, I'd rather they say "GR-RRR!", than "Sorry, I couldn't find a way to hide these screws."

:cornut: When Margi(08 R56 BRG MCS/JCWm) was in the body shop recently I saw a 'souped up'(I'm 60yrs old so I don't know the politically correct 2013 jargon) Honda Civic and noticed an interesting way to vent the engine compartment. Between the body/hinges/bonnet had been placed 3/4in rhomboid shaped spacers(blending with the curvature of the bonnet) allowing exit of hot air from the engine compartment and up over the wind shield. The spacers looked professionally done and the slightly elevated proximal bonnet(closest to the wind shield) was only noticeable close up. Has anyone else seen this method or had experience with it? Does/would it work? Looking at it, Metalman could probably run these off in his spare time in various different colors.

The mix of fine British Steel from the TR-7 sourced bits and Ohio winters is taking its toll.
I now have rust forming on the louvers. -
