Second that. It's a little like a doctor showing me results of blood work in numeric form only when I have no way of understanding what any of the numbers mean. I love the idea that I can get real info about what's going on in my oil but a quantitative analysis does me no good without some way of interpreting and qualifying the results in a way that applies directly to my car and the way I drive it.
Amsoil/Oil Analysis Results Explained.. Thanks for the questions regarding the report. I am attaching a portion of the brochure on the analysis program, and how it works. If there are still questions (or someone would like the complete brochure), don't hesitate to contact me.
I know making these kinds of things takes time and there will be setbacks along the way. I've already spent the money and it was only 30 bucks so I guess I'm sorta willing to see how this ends. I tell ya though, I was talking to them way back when they first started this in 2010 about buying a while bunch of these with M/A branding on them. I'm glad I waited, this is taking a hella long time. Their latest update. They say shipping in October, they don't say what year!
Kinda like "Lifetime" warranties, they never say who's lifetime, eh? :biggrin5: I feel for them. it's tough to bring new technology to market that's thoroughly tested and proven for a target price, and in a short window. I applaud them for their hard work and hope they succeed - I know I'll be a buyer once it's done, but then I'm a tech tool junkie anyway!
Boy am I glad I only opted for one way back when almost 1.5 years ago. And the think I was going to buy a few dozen with M/A branding on them at the time. I'm glad I sat on my hands for that order... Code Problem with New Lubricheck IC Chip Causes Further Delay As mentioned in update 28, we learned in August that the microprocessor that powers the Lubricheck needed to be upgraded to a more powerful model. This change required a major overhaul of the code that enables the Lubricheck to do what it does. What started out to be a week or two code project has now dragged on for several weeks. In spite of Suman's best efforts, the new chip refuses to properly communicate with the rest of the circuit. So, as of today, we have decided to 'swallow hard' and spend the cash required to bring in an outside expert to help us figure out where we have it wrong. Once the code problem is solved, it will take 4 weeks to complete our first production run and begin shipping finished product.
They got that resolved quickly... In our last update we conceded that a FRUSTRATING glitch in our software code had been holding us up for several weeks. So we were jubilant today to learn that our consulting programmer was able to identify the fault in our logic! Now that the code is functioning, we can make the final 'tweaks' and schedule production. We will announce a ship date as soon as we sort out these last few details. Best guess now is less than 4 weeks until we ship.
What are the odds on the components not meeting their specifications and another delay is put in play? DUUUHHHH ut:ut:ut:
