Well, while I was on lay over there for a few days some years back I did visit some of the night entertainment spots. But I was single and I am sure your wife will object to that even more then your leaving on Mother's Day.
we're talking about it. Timing might be the issue...the autobahn is under construction between Stuttgart and Munich so we might be asking to fit too much in. I need to check with my buddy to see what his work schedule is...he might not be available to roll with me until the weekend.

well I'm here and settled in at the hotel in Garching-nord. There's a huge BMW distro place across the street with a dealer attached (MINI too). Saw four Jcw on the way here one a clubman.
Only in Germany is the taxi an S Class and takes you at 200kph. At least I got my $50 worth out of the 18 mile ride from the airport
Yep, I saw that back in 1979 and a few times since. Always made me chuckle that one country's taxi cab is another country's luxury ride. Curious what the Germans think/thought of Caprice Classics and Crown Vics.
That would be really cool but it does seem excessive. There are plenty of cheaper cars that would pull off cab duty just fine. I know it's different over there but I sure would never trust any of the cabbies here at 200KPH, I barely trust them at 60KPH.
