Well its time to move M/A to a box with a bit more oomph. Some of the snap the site had has gone away and there are some back end things such as backups that can be handled a lot better than they are now. On or about midnight on Friday Jan 22 the site will go down to move to a more powerful server on a different host. We are moving away from the shared server to Virtual Private Server were I have more access to the O/S to tune the site better. It is expected that the migration will only take a few hours at most but it may take a day or two for the DNS to propagate across the entire web. In English that means the site might not be found for some of you by name for a day or two. Thanks for the continued support of Motoring Alliance. For me this move is a proud moment that shows the site has legs and will be better prepared for future growth.
We knew that. That is why we choose that day. So now instead of obsessively checking MA, you can actually go out and enjoy yourself.
I thot you picked that date so that rather than giving Mark a useful b-day present, you can simply provide him with speeder service :wink5:

Site is back up. There are still a few issues we are working on. If you find something please don't be shy, let me know.
Am chasing a few different issues, Library and the home page being the biggest 2 on my list right now.
