JHendern1986 stick around we are friendly you just happens to hit on a sore spot.
And as for anyone that does not like what I say. Why do I have to agree to be called friendly? Guess what I don't agree with everything that has been said on this forum the past few years. So what! I don't have to agree with every little thing that some one says. You know sometime you learn from those you don't agree with!

Jim, Jim, Jim...You know better. Tell me who in this thread hasn't been around awhile? Because all I see is the people who have been around the longest, who have an idea of the history of all of this posting. So exactly who in this thread is new here? Name some names, since most of us according to you are new here, if you're calling anyone out be specific, otherwise you're spewing nonsense trying to twist a point....
Sorry that reality trumps civility in my world.-

Hey, cut him some slack, it's his third post. Not suspicious at all someone with only three posts would be promoting a MINI non-MA vendor. :mad2: So you can send us prices if we P.M. you? Yep, sounds like you're doing this all out of the goodness of your heart.
Let's talk Intercoolers, and how well they worked in independent testing. Or let's talk canards, who were directly copied from someone else's work (which led to a well-respected member of the community leaving it entirely. For that alone I'd never consider purchasing anything associated with M7). Are these the things the "new" M7 is selling? Or have they come up with better parts from what they offered in the past that have been thoroughly tested, or completely original parts not copied directly from others?
If you come in here pushing a company that many have found unreliable and untrustworthy in the past, the burden of proof is on you to show how and why things have changed....My .02.-

My black chrome M7 upper strut bar looks great, though I know it's virtually worthless. I'd love to seek an alternative, but the previous owner of my car cut out the towers to accommodate the camber plates he removed before selling the car and I need the larger plates for strength. It's ok, it is what it is...

I have the M7 Strut Tower Reinforcement Plates on my '03 R50, and on both of my '06 MCSes to help prevent mushrooming. I have never had a problem with any of the M7 plates OR mushrooming, for that matter, so I feel I got my money's worth from having purchased them.

N2MINI MINI of the Month
I agree they probably should have changed the name, BUT they surely got a good look at the books before buying it and apparently they must be making a profit in order to stay open/buy into it... As with everything MINI we on here are the minority of the MINI owners. I bet less then 10% of MINI owners are also members of a MINI forum, and of those maybe 10% of them are frequent posters... All that being said most of the people buying their products have no clue that 10 people over here are bashing the products. I'm not defending M7 and or whoever bought them, just putting it all in perspective.. Only M7 part I have is the USS Brace and there for years they were the only ones with one so I bought it and it has done what it is intended to do. Granted some years latter but yet years ago TSW came out with a better product with their X-Brace. Way now sells that product. For those that have been around awhile if you remember TSW caught hell for rebranding their engine brace!!

JHendren1986 give up trying to be civil here, it is not, " The friendly MINI community", as you have found out. Most of the people here have not been around the Mini scene very long, Nathan excepted. M7 had a fine history back in the day, had good vendors selling their parts. In fact, there are many vendors still here on this forum that sell M7 parts....hmm.... how bout that. Thing is, these guys don't even know the new owners and already hate them, yea, real friendly place. They don't know that the original owner, had some health issues, and could give a crap, yea, real friendly place. MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Thought I would chime in here and share some thoughts.
I really have nothing against M7 or Alta or any of the MINI aftermarket parts vendors. I have M7 strut supports and they look great and I'm pretty sure they perform their purpose (to stiffen the top enough so they don't mushroom). I have an Alta rear sway bar going on 9 years on my car now. Yes the red paint looks a bit beat up, but the bar still performs its purpose. I have a MINI Madness CAI and still works. I feel I got good deals on all of them because I bought them when I attended AMVIV.
I'm from Canada so if I were to buy anything for my car, it is overpriced and quality is always hit and miss.
I would buy from Way but he doesn't deal with the hassles of shipping cross border. So the only time I can buy go faster parts for my car is if I attend an event stateside.
I have another car where I cannot get factory parts for it anymore other than routine engine maintenance parts. I have not been able to get an aftermarket part that fits perfectly the first time the last 10 years running if there is even a part available at all, even ordering from the USA and paying premium shipping.
I am happy that there are even vendors out there that invest and take the time to manufacture or sell parts for the MINI. I thank them for being there and hope their businesses are successful and they never have to take shortcuts and let quality slip in order to stay in business. I don't think anybody goes into business thinking they are going to rip off their clientele and create a bad reputation for themselves. Having said that, if I don't see value from the products they sell, I won't buy from them. Perhaps there are others who will see value and they do already have a regular customer base.
So let's be the "friendly MINI site" we all claim to be a part off. If we can't recommend a specific manufacturer, then let's just say that. I don't want to slag anybody unless they take the time to slag me. But let's be constructive about it. Who would we recommend? If I wanted a pulley for my R53, what is a good brand? I have no idea anymore. If I go to my local Lordco, who gives me a pretty good club discount, they tell me about parts from brands I have never heard of.
If M7 is under new ownership, has anybody here even looked at what they are selling?
Let's be constructive here.
I'm just a bit disappointed by the tone of this thread. There...rant done.-
