Any interest in some type of get together in Virginia, either down around Marion to hit the Back of the Dragon (BOTD) and the Snake or something farther north up around Little Washington? I have done both the BOTD and the Snake and from Google Earth views there are a ton of other roads with some nice twisties up that way. For farther north, took a wrong turn while bringing a Corvette down from New York a couple years back. Got going up in the mountains toward Luray Cavern before I turned around. It was like driving an Ocean Liner on a lake with the vet but with a MINI, I am already drooling.
Its funny - hadn’t heard of it until @vetsvette told me about it and we were discussing doing a drive. I would be interested doing a drive for sure. Love the idea.
Someday I am going to try to hit the Carter Family Fold. Would think there are some great roads there as well. Its to the west of Bristol.
Yea I need to explor that area.. depending on where we go riding RZRs there appears there could be some great roads up through the WV and VA...
I would like to do it but can't commit till I know a date and it is close. Training is spooling up so off time will be at a premium.
Would be nice to do an early fall run. I don’t think we would want to get into winter up there, but not 100% sure.
A fall run would be great. My tires are no good once it gets below 50 or so. Or maybe I could bring the R53.
Count me out as I will never drive in Virginia unless I am going to the Dragon. I really don’t do any rally’s anymore .
You know I can’t ride in a line or mid-pack. I always have to race to the front. Remember “Donut run”. Lmao
Problem solved - your the leader we will follow. When we see the blue lights we will know when to slow down and wave (your fav.. ) as we pass by. I do have a feeling we would get your style "wave" back.
I've never been a fan of a car parade. It brings too much unwanted attention. Everyone wants to NASCARP draft each other. Give me a route & I'll see you at the destination. My thought is the first guy in line wakes the cop up & those following pay the price.
There're two NASCARP races that I watch. The road course race that's on this weekend & the Watkins Glen race. Road courses yes, ovals heck no!
