Seems like you are going to have to update your title to Sir Metalman if your work is admired by a Queen. Nice job. I always enjoy seeing your work. Josh is an artist with powder coating. You guys do good work.
Looks great Chuck. I'm so glad I got to see this in person when I stopped by. It turned out really well.
Funny you should bring this up.... Very close... I'll be involved in a cafeteria remodeling project that will require some special custom stainless steel work at their self serve line, one area happens to be at the salad bar....:biggrin5:
No.... Static display.... But maybe could.... Someone once said.... "Put a big enough engine on it, and you can make a rock fly"... You brought me back to this.... [ame=http://youtu.be/lAl28d6tbko]Will It Blend? - iPad - YouTube[/ame]
Thank you Dave... Build as KD.... Will be re-assembled and suspended 4 stories up inside a building.... Here is a pic from yesterday just prior to us putting it together.... Took 2 hrs to attach all the main components....
Been makin planters.... Fabricated 34 planters in 3 different sizes... Sent them out and had them hot dipped galvanized for longevity... Painted and Epi wood cladding was added and set in place at a local restaurant here in town today... Ummmm.... I don't do plantings....
I was asked to contribute to a good cause in town. The Columbus Museum of Art will conduct an auction on Friday (tomorrow). The plan called for 15 Herman Miller chairs to be given out to 15 separate contestants to be modified in some unique way. The pieces would then be auctioned off to the highest bidder with proceeds going to the museum... Started with a rudimentary sketch of what might be called a personal bar for a single individual... The idea was to take a regular seating height chair and make it into a bar height seating structure.... Keep in mind, none of these submittals are to be taken too seriously... More of a fun thing... Started cutting and bending pieces... Welding started first thing this morning... Finished by 11:00am today... A piece of white marble will fit the top framework... This surface is for drink preparation and final resting place during consumption... The small cutout and shelf will support and present two bottles of liquor... Parts are over with Josh for a semi-gloss clear powder coat...
