Stopped by MAG this morning and was informed that they will be moving into the new building next weekend. They will be closed next Saturday because of the move.

Stuff happens. I hate to see her leave but I'm confident my service level will stay up.

We'll see about that. I have an appt. on Monday. I was not too impressed with the guy who took the call and set me up with Amber's replacement, Heather. Hopefully, Heather knows what she is doing.....

Heather has been there for 6 months or so as an understudy. She has done a good job for me.

I would agree with that as well. I think that when you have a dealership like MAG that has a very high end clientele, they aren't as concerned with the relationship with the buyer's of their lower end brands. I know several people over the years that said they felt like second class citizens when they walked on to the Post Rd. campus and the sales people discovered they were there to look at VWs.

When you hear about the events that other dealers host/sponsor, it always made me wonder if MAG's heart was really in to embracing the MINI culture. Buying some Subway sandwiches is nice, but always seemed like putting out the minimal effort for it's customers. Maybe the new location will make it more accessible/noticeable and allow for better separation from the BMW inventory and let the brand stand out more on it's own.

I don't know everyone at MAG. Some were great people & some were jerks. Sort of like the real world. The best one who happened to be a friend & a help to all MINI owner's has moved on. That's a real shame & a big loss for MAG.

If this town can support 2 Fiat dealers you'd think there would be more than one MINI dealer.

Thanks, but, I'll take their "control" over that of the ones in Cincy..... Besides, Dublin is way closer for me.

I don't find myself down cincy way very often. But I've had plenty of good dealings with MAG. Plus going over there gives me a chance to drool over cars I'll probably never be able to afford. :biggrin5:

I live on the north edge of Piqua, along I-75 and about 2 miles from US 36. MAG is about 68 miles from my house. Cinci MINI is close to 100 miles from me and I have to travel down 75 to 275 to 71 to get there...just too far, and then there is all that heavy, fast traffic. 36 is lightly traveled and ties right into 33/161....

BTW, FWIW, I totally agree with the quote on your sig!

I met Paula a few weeks ago and introduced her to the MINI...well, the '06 R53I have with the orange wheels. She LOVED it and took copious pics of it, along with my license plate. Then, last week, she came running over with a copy of MC2's Dragon layout from 2012, and my plate was pictured ... she was sooo excited! Yep, she is a REAL ball of fire!
