It has nothing to do with location and more to do with public perception and marketing. Holding an event like that on Easter weekend often results in low participation. If I were a MINI dealer, I'd want my bash for the unveiling of the F56 to be the most important thing happening in my community that weekend.

Knowing MAGs history with our group I think the Easter weekend makes sense they might think we gave up bitching about service for lent.

Can someone confirm we will be able to test drive? I really want to drive a new one in hopes that the 4 door concept becomes reality and is fun to drive.

 

I got an invite to the launch party MAG is having for the new A3 and it specifically calls out test drives, so you would think that they would allow test drives for at least the Justa.

 

Good point. With 3 you are getting close to R53 stock numbers, so no need for the 4th one.

 

You can go over now and check one out. I made an appt. for service this Friday and they were all argle-fargle, frothing at the mouth about having just gotten a new one in stock.

This is about right for mag on timing. They unveiled the new Land Rover a couple of years ago in the arena district on a weekday at 6:00. Just when everyone was headed home for work. I think maybe 10 people showed up. Great food but not exciting.

 

Gee, then I guess I won't drive 11 hours just to watch a few of you guys munching Easter donuts ...

 

I was at MAG today talking over a Land Rover event and asked about the 19th.
They said we can come as a group at 9 am and park together.
I need to follow up but he said why not do your breakfast here?

What do you all think?
