The small holes will get some rubber button feet... Something like this... The large 3" hole is conveniently placed for access to the coupling fitting.... These holes were already in the plate.... Win - Win...
That looks like part of the drive system Captain Nemo used on the Nautilus, in 20000 Leagues Under The Sea. Jim
Based on the length of the fittings on the bottom, and the need for a 90* el yet to be added, you're gonna need some really long rubbers! I think you'll need some legs too...... The legs on mine are almost a foot long.....
No..... I'm 3 weeks from escaping the warranty period and I'm going to try one more time to get the dealer to do it, if that doesn't work I'll fire it up and give it a go. One of the things that's been holding me up is my unheated garage, but I took steps to remedy that situation this week too, so sometime in Feb, one way or another.....
I've always wondered if instead of running the PCV vapors to the intake, which gets you the carbon problem on the valves... Change it to right after the cat in the downtube.... The temperature at that point is around 1200F... The burning of the oil vapors certainly should take place and not have to deal with the carbon hassle.... It probably wouldn't be as complete a burn and would still have issues with nox and co2 I imagine.
And will you do step-by-step instructions next month entitled "Build your own nuclear reactor for peanuts"?......
This sounds good, but wouldn't a non-complete burn cause problems for the catatonic converter? Those things aren't cheap.
Had a little time this morning for some work on my carbon blaster.... Standing upright now.... Want to put a handle on the lid and then it's off to the powder coater.... I pressure tested it last week @150 psi (I hid behind the 90 ton break press, just in case it went BANG). Not even a leak. The "O" ring design seals tighter with increased pressure....
Crikeys! Looks like it's ready for take off! The fab work looks......................fab! Just got my Clubby back from the dealer, it has now firmly reached warranty escape velocity, so I can now play with it all I want. Waiting for warmer weather first, then I'm going to go after the intake and see if it helps.
My buddy just sent teaser pictures of my walnut blaster finished getting powder coated in textured black...
It needs a big USA on the side. Looks like a Redstone Rocket. That damn carbon don't stand a chance! :incazzato:
