Sun-Times Media Wire Naperville, Ill. - Police are looking for the driver who crashed a Mini Cooper through the front door of a west suburban Naperville store early Saturday. Police responded at 2:22 a.m. to an alarm at the Shoe Carnival at 304 S. Route 59 in Naperville and learned a Mini Cooper crashed through the front door and left the scene, according to a Naperville police release. The black or dark blue Mini Cooper has damage to the right front corner and is missing a chrome headlight bezel and black wheel well molding, police said. The driver is only described as a white man in a red coat. Police are still investigating if the crash was intentional or accidental.
As soon as he buffs it out he's good to go. Was he wearing a red coat or a red BOWLING SHIRT? Sent from my Droid using Tapatalk
UPDATE - UPDATE - UPDATE Local police are tracking a rather large internet order package of multiple bottles of Prima Swirl, Epic, and Black WOW, placed shortly after the incident.
I had a red shirt on yesterday, but was driving a mostly salt encrusted blue MINI. That's my story & I'm sticking with it.
I can see it now, controlled delivery, suspect gets busted and they pick up the Prima folks as accessories after the fact. Jim
Being this was in the Chicago area.... And now for the rest of the story... A 23-year-old Naperville woman has been charged with leaving the scene of a property damage accident after she allegedly drove her car through the front doors of the Shoe Carnival store at 304 S. Route 59 in Naperville early Saturday, police said. Kathryn A. Miller, of 1000 Fairway Drive, turned herself in to police at 12:30 a.m. Sunday, authorities said. Police said she would be released from custody after posting bond. According to a police department release, Miller said she had fallen asleep at the wheel of her 2007 Mini Cooper when it crashed into the building about 2:22 a.m. Police did not indicate whether Miller was injured in the crash.
Kathryn....Kathryn, are you on here? Why did it take you almost 22 hours to tell the Leo's? :confused5::blush2: Inquiring minds want to know :yesnod::yesnod:
She fell asleep? Hah! I think Crashton called it......who would have thought it? A woman, crashing a shoe store?
Maybe she was sleep driving and really needed to get a new pair of perfect heels to go with her new Coach bag and cocktail dress? Or maybe Crashton called it.
I'm guessing the 'turnign in' was 12:30P which sounds about long enough for the blood alcohol content to get to a near lawful level. Otherwise this Kathryn chick is so uber responsible she turns herself in BEFORE committing the crime!
Ding ding ding! I think we have a winner here. I'm glad no one was injured other than her insurance company. Although I'm sure they will make that money back in good time.
:cornut:HHHMMMMM.............had to let the Booze or Blow wear off before turning our self in(possibly)?:lol::lol::lol::lol: Jason
