Went out for to run an errand this morning, between the heat and humidity it's just gross outside here in Columbus.

I went to school reunion picnic today, sweat running down my face and back, not fun, and it's not even that hot today, only the low 90's.....
But don't worry, in a few months we'll all be bitching about how damn cold and miserable it is.....
Why did I leave Sandy Eggo again? -

Just returned from the store in my top down Roadster. Drive was confortable, but stopping in my garage was like entering a blast furnace. Temp 89; heat index 99.

The next week is looking better, low 90s for highs, upper 60s for lows
. If it does rain here tonight, likely going to have to hang onto something sturdy:eek6::fingerscrossed:

Feeling like a fall day here today 67 & cloudy. Refreshing is the word. We had rain Thursday night & yesterday morning. Hope the heat stays away for a while.

It wasn't that bad. I spent the evening last night cleaning the garage. Granted I was sweating my ass off, but it didn't bother me one tiny bit. My fiance on the other hand can't stand temps above about 72 without whining that it too hot.

Our AC went DOA yesterday morning. I knew it was coming & last Friday the parts were ordered. This morning we are being oh so cool again.

My weather station says it is 90.0 degrees with a heat index of 104-and it is only 10:30 am here in Crozet. Countryman gets driven today. Roadster stays in the garage.

My son lives in Phoenix (he has an 04 JCW) and a couple weeks ago it was averaging 116*, so he grabbed the family and headed to the relative's house in Sandy Eggo for a week. When they came home it was 111* at midnight, and the A/C had died sometime while they were gone, it was 95* in the house!
They went to a motel and sometime Monday he had a new A/C unit installed, it still took over a full day and night to get the house (and everything in it) back down to a reasonably comfortable temp. I wouldn't live there or Vegas on a bet!
Here in KC it was over 90* by 9 am, we're in for a hot week, as the temps are supposed to climb from here all week.
Like apok's fiancé, when it gets much over the mid-70's with our humidity, I'm miserable - and the black on black, no-A/C Jag stays in the garage!
Come the first two weeks of August, which are usually our hottest days, the bride and I will take the Audi Allroad and head for the cool air in the mountains of southern Colorado - if there's anything left after the wildfires! -

It's currently 90 here in good old Columbus at just after noon, and I wouldn't have it any other way. I've lived here all my life, and I HATE cold. I actually like to go hiking and stuff in this weather. Now I'm kinda glad I don't play airsoft anymore, cause wearing all that gear in this heat does suck.
