Not sure why anyone needs to "bury the hatchet" with someone who seems to over react to things not under their control. This issue is with MC2 and not M/A. Nathan doesn't need to apologize for any of the posts here as none of the posts were in violation of the rules here.

:cornut: Just me......................I'm a proud member of MA. I love it here. Nathan has done a fantastic job of keeping MA focused and up beat and gently keeping controversial personalities like DaveO. and me(there are many others) from being too over bearing. I also like MC2 magazine and my subscription is paid up through 2016( please resist the temptation gentlemen). I like the Magazine. Barry Brazier's personality gets on some peoples nerves. Being raised by my 'off of the boat' Scottish Mother, I understand and accept his manner better than most. To me MC2 is one of my pleasures, world changing no but, one of my small pleasures. Also, probably due to my Scottish heritage, I just feel that we should give the 'Brit' a chance...................just me.

If you don't like the mag why keep reading it!!! Kinda like the old ladies bitching about playboy. If you don't like what's in it don't look at it I say!!!! It's been the same for 6-7 years now... go look at road/track or car and driver etc. About cars most of us will never be able to afford.

For me it is not hatred, just disappointment. The magazine really could be so much more.

Maybe I'm the only guy here that enjoys MC2. Yea, there are mistakes in it, but so what? It's dedicated to the cars we love. I get something out of each issue. Could it be better? Probably. But if it were to go away we'd be out of any MINI/Mini stateside publications. I think y'all are being pretty damn hard on Barry. I too hope it gets better, but if it doesn't, I'll still keep getting it.

People are saying bad things on the site? And this has what to do with being late with his publication? Has a ring to it like when one extends his/her subscription to take advantage of a special offer and then never gets the offer even when promised a second time in a direct follow-up contact. Now it seems to me that if you do not publish on time, do not keep promotional promises and offer diverting excuses when confronted, someone just might express their displeasure. Just sharing information and opinions here...

I sympathize for MC2--this relatively small niche companies in the MINI world, wether they be a vendor, magazine, etc. are not huge operations with reserves to meet all contingencies--so if something goes wrong, there is no safety net, and a part or magazine issue may be late. I have no problem with that.
But trying to control what others can or cannot say in an internet forum, especially when the complaints appear to be legitimate, is so far out of bounds as to be laughable.
Don't say anything bad about me, even if it's true. Good luck with that. Seems most people complain only after they've been ignored. Food for thought.
Nate, you should tell Barry what articles he should or shouldn't publish in his magazine. Let's see how that goes over.-

I'm with cct1 on this if there was a problem on the magazines end it would have been much easier to post a little sticky on the website.

Let me chime in as I'm the guy who started this thread. I have been a
subscriber to MC2 since day one and have been loyal since day one. I
look forward to each and every issue that I receive. I don't feel that
I was busting Barry's balls for just asking a simple question. If he feels
that way I'm truly sorry. I met Barry for the first time at last year's MOTD
and enjoyed talking with him. In fact I extended my subscription at that
time and gave him cash to prove it. That's all folks.-

As Scott is saying, you had a valid question. Barry of MC2 is very defensive and blows things out of proportion. My own lack of love for him and his publication didn't help this thread much either. For allowing my own thoughts to cloud my posting judgment I apologize. But, dagnapit, the man just rubs me the wrong way.-

That would be a perfect way to " Bury the hatchet" end with a feature on GNAT and a hug......:biggrin5:-

I hardly think that MC2 is going out of business. We just saw Barry two weeks ago early on a Sunday morning as he was a sponsor and judge for our photographic scavenger hunt celebrating the 10th Anniversary of The Italian Job:
The Seattle Job
At that time he was all smiles (as much as he ever is) and handshakes, passing out free copies of the previous issue and staying around all day to judge our photos.
I'm surprised that anybody has the time to notice when a magazine that comes out every two months is a couple of weeks late. I guess I'm just doing it wrong.
