I've been a subscriber since I got my MINI, while not the greatest may out there at least it is talking about a car I like and can afford. Road and track, car and driver, and some others, are full of multi page write ups on cars I'll never be able to get, yet on the few cars I can they usually only get 1 page, and sometimes not even the whole page and half the mag is advertisements. Weather tech must get a huge discount or something they have a 3 page add in every issue of road and track and car and driver, motor trend etc. Heck the dang thing should be free at this point.

If Barry put half the time into his rag of a magazine that he spent talking BS at the Dragon this year it would still only be worth quarter.
-
GreyLens New MemberLifetime SupporterI've picked up several of these. You're right...a much better mag!
Ok, let me rephrase...
Keep up the mediocre work Barry. I still have hopes...but things will not improve until you start listening to customers and critics.
War is hell.

Not to change the slant of this thread, but isn't ALTA kinda like the JC Whitney of the MINI world?

Jason Montague New MemberLifetime Supporter:cornut: So DaveO. the sewing sight gives you.....ah.....uh.....um 'wooden pistol in your pocket'. Wow I never knew that you liked it that much.

I am the world's worst when it comes to grammar and spelling. (my kids corrected me when they were in jr high) So the typos not bother me. I see them in other mags and books also.
Proof reading was been left to the software. (2012 looks correct to it) After writing a number of technical papers in the past I know that staring at your own work over and over just won't work. -
Phew. For a microsecond there, after reading the word "wax", stream of conciousness kicked in, and I was afraid it was at some point that word was going to be followed by the word "bikini". I'm still a bit unsettled by the whole experience.
