Got the e-mail as well. Here it is. Evening everyone, Just wanted to inform everyone that we - finally- have issue #42 in the mail today (Friday) 22nd) and Monday (25th) to all US subscribers. The rest of the planet is a few days later as freight to the international depot takes 3-4 days. I am personally sorry for this late shipping, but I am confident that you'll be happier with more, and unique content. We've a very exclusive 4-page photos layout on the MINI backflip (we are the only media to to have access to the inventory of photos above the 4 photos that MINI sent out to all media outlets), we have a unique view of the New Zealand doggies driving, an exclusive story of the AC Schnitzer Raptor, and exclusive story of Heritage Garage's classic Mini adventure on the PanAmericana or LaCarrera race in Mexico, and the exclusive on a unique MINI and trailer owned by Susan Sigmon. (Thanks for a forum starting a rumor that we were going under. It's truly sad that no one uses the phone to check their supposed facts these days! ) Next issue (#43) is in the process with all available info on the DuelL AG N. America start-up in Silicon Valley, as well as AC Schnitzer's showroom in Irvine, CA. We are working on a how-to with Snow Performance on their new MINI alcohol/water injection system (complete with dyno charts, figures), a unique short shiter install from TyrolSport (NY City area), Duell's BBK kit install on our Project Clubman, all about shocks/struts tech, new audio section start-up, and a few other details. Next week we debut our www.minicoopervideos.com site using VimeoPro with two exclusive Countryman backflip videos, Doggie Driving Countryman, our very first video created for us by our UK Editor of Chris Atkinson of WRC MINI driving fame, and maybe 2-3 others that have not yet been seen. Then comes our news/info site, followed by a BIG surprise. BTW, our MC2 oil catch can starts shipping next week! It's in our General Store at MC2 Magazine for the MINI Cooper Owner If you're to be at the Dragon, and have a well-modified MINI that is feature worthy, then we want to know about it NOW PLEASE. We're looking for features. Change the subject in a reply e-mail to me with "feature MINI" , and send me 2-3 low-res photos and basic info with contacts. Happy motoring... Barry Barry Brazier Publisher MC2 360/ 698-7926 Seattle
Hey.... The "well modified" Gnatster is going to be at the Dragon again this year... Actually one of the most modified MINI's around.... It would really be sweet if it's a featured entry in one of the upcoming MC2 publications... An opportunity that surely wouldn't be side stepped in the interest of the MINI community.... What a great idea.... Easily found... echoing off the hills and valleys all along the dragon.... Can't wait for that issue....
That would be a perfect way to " Bury the hatchet" end with a feature on GNAT and a hug......:biggrin5:
Gnat in MC2...... Gnat in MC2...... Gnat in MC2..... Gnat in MC2...... Gnat in MC2...... Gnat in MC2..... Gnat in MC2...... Gnat in MC2...... Gnat in MC2.....
Sorry, Barry...what's "truly sad" is that you do not respond to your subscribers when they ask valid questions as to why they are not receiving your magazine. What's "truly sad" is when, after reading said complaints, you choose to accuse the forum in question, of "not checking facts", when all of this DRAMA could have been avoided if YOU had been more responsible to your subscribers in the first place!
Hmm.... Maybe we're on to something here Dave. It appears as though the magnetism created between those of differing view points may just be the answer to the never ending mystery behind the Globe's continued urge to rotate on its axis. ** Disclaimer: There is NO scientific basis what-so-ever behind the thought process of this posting. I hardly think that MC2 is going out of business. We just saw Barry two weeks ago early on a Sunday morning as he was a sponsor and judge for our photographic scavenger hunt celebrating the 10th Anniversary of The Italian Job: The Seattle Job At that time he was all smiles (as much as he ever is) and handshakes, passing out free copies of the previous issue and staying around all day to judge our photos. I'm surprised that anybody has the time to notice when a magazine that comes out every two months is a couple of weeks late. I guess I'm just doing it wrong. Val
I got a new copy in the mail and for what is in it, MC2 should be out of business. I am more entertained by junk mail in my mailbox than MC2. The new MC2 is just a glossy rag not worth the paper it's printed on. I will NOT be sending Barry anymore money and will be putting up my MC2 collection including issue #1 soon. So whoever is sending e-mails to Barry about internet comments on his little beloved MC2 magazine send him my post.
That issue has an article on my friends MINI and trailer and they listed it as a 2009 MINI and hers is a 2002! Can't even get facts straight!
2003 2009 what's the difference? Gen 1 Gen 2 no big deal (idiot) What's his name Barri Barrie or Barry Kripke....:lol:
