ALTA should move to the Fiat market... That would make me happy. :D

I would guess they are there. Just like they are in the MINI market.

The Fiat aftermarket is emerging and is a good fit for those with experience in the MINI realm. It just makes good business sense.

I too was working on building a Fiat 500 based forum but early on a client of mine picked up the domain from me as I didn't have the time resources at that time to work on it fast enough to bring it to market as the 500 was being introduced.

Back to Barry...I didn't realize he's a "ferner". That makes the mystique of the MC2 even better for me...seat of the pants business...english second language...he's taken by my favorite car...trying to make a living doing something he enjoy's and some other folks want. Cool.

    Still needs an editor.

Alta...they do at least support the AccessPort which I bought directly from Cobb Tuning who no longer supports new releases for MINI due to the small market for it in the MINI community.

If Way makes a go of the 500 market it will help all of us...cheaper prices...better service. Plus, more cars to beat at Autox.

Abarth is admittedly fun to drive. Not as fun as a MINI, but fun.

The only problem is, from a performance standpoint, how far can you take that platform? In my uneducated guess, I'm guessing not very. I have seen a grand total of.....zero of these on the track. It makes me think there isn't going to be much of an aftermarket demand for go fast parts for these things. Add that to the fact that sales have been a disappointment, maybe not a disaster, but still lower than what was projected, the question is how big is the market, and how will it grow?

'Course there will always be a market for shiny stuff and parts that claim to bring the performance level up to that of a McLaren, just like in the MINI world.

M7 and Fiat...It's only a matter of time.

Too bad Yugo's are gone, they could do those too.

Wow....so this has turned into a, "lets bash a vendor thread". So.....i have use some Alta stuff: intake, still sounds great, does its job, no BS "our intake gives you a million hp", they all do the same thing. I have had a Sportone cat back for years now, yea I have had to weld the flex joint once, but the abuse I give it, just as good has anything out there. Agree, that the quality of their cat back seems not as good now. My Alta header, still sounds amazing, power, not sure it helps, but sounds....bad azz. My Alta rear sway bar, does just fine for my spirited non-track driving.

Do I need to go into my M7 stuff now? Guys, ANY VENDOR, has their good and bad
Thought this was, " The fun and friendly Mini site"?

Oh God who woke you up?

FYI~ This is a Free Country and we can all speak our minds even on web fourms.

Why don't you go BS on the Thumper Fourm since you have nothing usefull to bring to the conversation as always.

We were all willing to give M7 the benefit of the doubt, and a fresh start, with the change in leadership.

Then they tried selling redrilled injectors at a high price with a core fee.
