Used the Mityvac for the first time last weekend. Did the MCS and the Z3.

    Nice product the Mityvac.

Seeing as how it was my first time, I first pulled the oil out via the dip stick tube and then jacked the car up and pulled the drain plug.

Seems I got all but about a half of a pint. If that. I can live with that and I'm sure the MINI can as well.

Did the same to the Z3 with the same results.

    I'm sold on it.

Glad to hear that worked out well for you Les. I'm almost old enough to not want to remove drain plugs, but not quite. Good to know when I get old like you there is an answer to the drain plug problem. ;)

I can still slither under a MINI. It aint pretty, but I can do it.:yesnod: The Miata is the real pain in the arse to get under. I have to pull the RF wheel to reach the oil filter.

The hardest part was removing the stopper in the top on the Mityvac to pour out the old oil. It was a pain in the tush. Next time I'll try the "pump the oil out" method first.

Otherwise it was very slick (no pun intended).
