Thanks! I'm glad that people like it. He's held on with velcro, so we figure this is "Mark 1" of a series of openometer alternatives. We'll just swap as the mood hits. With all humility, I wonder that an "accessory port" isn't a standard item on Minis or other cars! If they had the same plastic molded bit that currently houses the openometer but empty save for, perhaps, a power port or OBD socket or USB port, third party vendors would race to produce useful gizmos that could be attached to the dash. That doesn't seem like rocket science to me and would be quite consistent with Mini's "youify" philosophy.
