    :cornut: Sirs, I need help concerning the precise location of the 'throttle body' on my 08 R56 MCS/JCWm OR does it not have one? I went to REALOEM but one can't plug in a word, one needs a part #. So then I brought up the schematics for my engine and could not find 'throttle body' listed on any of the schematics of: Engine, Intake System, Turbo System, PCV system.................. All that I need is a picture(if possible), location, and what's located upstream and down stream of it.PRETTY PLEASE WITH SUGAR ON TOP.:biggrin5::Thumbsup:

    :cornut: Yes and No. At REALOEM these numbers do pull up pictures of a throttle but goes on to say that they are not on my car. So I'll keep trying. Thank you for the help.:Thumbsup:

    I'm thinking your MINI has some double vanos voodoo stuff & does not have a throttle body. I seem to remember reading that somewhere or maybe it was when I was in a donut induced coma. :donut1:

    One might ask why you want to find a throttle body? There are many better places to put your duct tape. :wink:

    :lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:You're killing me.

    :cornut:I'm now sure that you are correct on my car(08 R56 MCS/JCWm) not having a 'throttle body' as over at REALOEM; I can pull up throttles by part # but it then states that they are not on my car. I must fess up as to purpose of research on throttle bodies and my car. My SEAFOAM posts( and putting it directly into the vacuum intake of the turbo intake pipe ) caused great concerns about my doing this as to possibly damaging my turbo. Sooooooooo I emailed SEAFOAM and they told me that I should get their new Spray Seafoam and spray it in through the (you got it) throttle body. So I guess that I'll get the Seafoam Spray and put it through the vacuum intake of the turbo intake. THOUGHTS?:Thumbsup:

    You get the best seafoam at high tide on the beach. Wear a personal flotation device. :D

    Dude....
    Ur makin life way too difficult. What are you going to do.... Try and spray Seafoam into the intake manifold laying on your back under a running MINI on jack stands????
    I seem to recall you installed a BSH connector to the PCV line. I'm guessing there is at least one blocking plug tapped hole not being used??? Replace the cap (temporarily) with one of the extra fittings with a short length of vacuum line. Now with a small container of Seafoam you can inject the liquid right into the PCV line going directly to the intake manifold. Replace with the plug when ur done. Easy Squeezy.....

    Leave that Seafoam guy alone, he needs to find someone with a throttle body he can throttle....:D

    :cornut: Funny but, I didn't call it Duct Tape until after I got out of the Army the first time. In SF we always called it 100mph tape as supposedly the aviation guys used it for minor skin repairs on choppers and it would hold up through 100mph. We used it on parachute drops to secure loose straps,ruck sacks,etc.:Thumbsup:
