Very interested in this story. Wonder if this is accomplished with an engine change or by a combination of engine and new platform. A mini MINI would suit me.
10 minutes ago I clicked on the link provided by Nathan for the coupe and roadster update story and the link to the story appeared on the "Recent Articles" and I read it. Summary: No Cooper D engine in US, so: 1.3 / 1.5 liters highly efficient petrol engines, no downgrade in power from current engines / direct injection highly efficient turbos / 50 mpg estimated in some variants. I tried to go back and link to it directly but it has disappeared once again. It's not even in my history I'm sure that if I knew anything about computers I could get a hold of it, but alas. Nevertheless, it was a very short article.
