Funny how the talk is about needing to rev faster and get there with a lightened flywheel....

Why doesn't MF just say it's because BMW detunes the MINI engine.... Got's nothing to do with the flywheel...

 

It's the same engine as the BMW 320i, down to the power output.

Power climbs quickly and plateaus very abruptly as it bleeds off boost/limits fuel.

I'd love to drive a tuned F5x model to see what the potential is.

 

Even with 1,000 HP it won't be able to outrun it's own ugliness.
