(Montréal, Québec, Canada) – Team Octane is ecstatic to announce their fourth touring class entry for the 2013 season. Michel Sallenbach will continue to lead the Team’s CTCC effort for a fourth consecutive season and will partner his previously-announced teammates (Paul Gravel, Eric Lacouture and Carlos Tesler-Mabe).

“We had a good season last year and set some ambitious goals for ourselves†mentions the driver from Roxton. “But we are taking a different approach this year. We are coming with only one goal and it is to have fun and enjoy ourselves at every on-track session.â€

Sallenbach will be back with the same car that brought him so many successes in the past. “We rebuilt the #46 PneusEnDirect.com/Accessoires de Soudure ASG MINI from A to Z over the winter after our major shunt at Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve last year. Carrosserie Touchette brought the car back to brand new condition again†mentioned his crew-chief Marc-André Beaubien

“We have the best line-up of drivers in the field this year†mentions Octane`s Team Owner Alain Lauzière. “We are looking forward for the season to start this weekend as we know that any of our four drivers can compete for podium finishes.â€

Team partners also include MINI Canada through their generous contingency program, MINI GENUINE PARTS, Castrol, LDS Dyno, Bully Clutch, Revolution MINI Works, Perry Auto, Carrosserie Touchette, La Clinique du Pneu Granby, Lettrage Raoul, ASG Accessoire de Soudure Granby, SoCal Sport Cars, Sherwin-Williams Automotive Finishes and Carbotech Brakes.

The 2013 season of the Canadian Touring Car Championship presented by Continental tire will start this weekend on May 18-19 at Canadian Tire Motorsport (formerly known as Mosport). The track located north of Bowmanville, Ontario will host the Victoria Day Speedfest. The Championship competes throughout 7 weekends of racing. Details are available at CTCC: Canadian Touring Car Championship.

Team Octane competes in the Touring Class of the championship and is looking forward to repeat their 2007 and 2009 Championship Seasons. The team will field four Touring class entries in the 2013 CTCC championship.
