LOL that is a great question Jason. If it were my decision I would change them to green ...no more red roof (pun intended )

I'd guess unless they are leaking the red roofs will stay. I always liked the tie in to Red Roof Inn. Although Red Roof Inns while once a decent place have sort of become like Nelson Ledges. :frown2:

Aye........the campground was the best. We virtually lived at Mid-Ohio back in 1967-1969. Hah...I remember one year we blew a slave cylinder on the Mini and didn't have any spare shoes. So we used our campfire to "cook" the brake fluid out of the shoes.

And it seemed to rain every weekend.

Gosh, the memories associated with Mid-Ohio.....

Wow, this sounds like the mid-Ohio place to be, back in the day, or at least with you old folks. Must have been very cool, so I hope it turns back in that direction.

Jim, you need to plan to come over to Mid-Ohio to watch the Emco Gears race (Continental Tires Series with RSR Racing). It's the final race of the season this year. We should be out in full force :beer

No problem Nathan, have the wedding reception in the infield at Mid-Ohio, that way all us MOM's can show up as part of your new central Ohio family.....:D

I make up that we get with Randy pretty soon and get a deal on a motorhome for the last race. I'll see if we can get a spot reserved along the fence and we'll have an official MOM weekend with Randy and RSR. Thoughts?

Early '80s, Camel GT races, do you remember the guys up against the fence in the campground with the lighted volleyball court and 3-story scaffolding? That was us.

Dude, we roasted pigs, made Buford Stew, had kegs, golf carts, at our peak we had 26 guys in 2 motor homes and several tents.

Sadly those days are gone......had the same experiences at Portland International Raceway back in the 60-70's.
