Yea and we don't need a bunch of drunk people trying to do the midnight run

After this year's Dragon, I'm leaning towards not signing up for any organized drives (except Donuts and the Burger run on Friday).-

It was very wet on TNT. It was fun but I am sure it was slower than most times before. We thought about driving it close to Midnight but it was wet and having to pack up the next day to leave made us decide to go to bed. Maybe it should be done on Friday night that way you have time to recoup Saturday!?

I would agree that it should be moved to Friday. We went last year just to watch and it was only about 12 cars and the weather was clear. I think people are skipping this since they have to drive home the next day. We skipped it this year because of the weather but we did our own midnight run Friday night before the rain hit and I only saw about two other MINIs.

I don't hang around for it anymore. I did it the first year at my daughters insistence. (She got to sleep that night and the whole way home the next day.) But it was fun... It is a shame it rained because everyone should do it at least once.-

Just a reminder of what it was like in 2007.

I usually do this drive but with the rain I passed this year.
If you didn't see anyone at all on you way back from Deals Gap to Fontana then I'm thinking many others had the same idea of not pushing it in the rain this year. -

I saw them lining up for Twilight and Twisties. It looked as the car count was down quite a bit over other years.
-
As far as I understood, it was cancelled due to the rain and putting people's safety at risk. Don't quote me though. I was bummed out because it was my favorite event last year.

There were about 11 of us down at the General Store. We waited a while but no one else showed up so we did our own little impromptu run. It was a pretty good (but from what I heard about the regular Midnight Run subdued) time.

I usually go out and film this run, but with all the rain I decided to pass.
