My guess is that MINI does not want to spend what it would take to hire a top line driver like Marcus Gronholm. Good luck to Kris Meeke in all his rallies.![]()

Thanks for that Scott. Watching that it is easy to see why the British rally championship has produced so many great rally drivers over the years. A very impressive drive from Kris & his unnamed co driver. Cool as a cucumber & spot on with his notes. Heck he even had the presence of mind to remind Kris of cold tires at the start of the stage. And what a stage, man those lanes are something & that view of the Irish sea, oh wow!

Very nice job. What was the red flashing light that came on a couple of times on the dash? Also thought the shifter was in an interesting position, or is that common on rally cars and is it true they do not use the clutch?

A great choice for the MINI WRC campaign. I must say this form of racing is growing on me rapidly, and the fact of the emerging MINI entry only adds to it.
Great clip Scott...just watching it is a real edge-of-your-seat experience. These drivers and co-drivers must have jewels the size of coconuts. Those beautiful stretches along the seaside cliffs reminds me of a Jeremy Clarkson quote made as the boys were descending through the Stelvio Pass:
"It's not like Playstation, this...you can't just press the reset button when you get it wrong. You just go thru the Pearly Gates...on fire."
Can't wait to follow Meeke and MINI. -
Way tooooo Coooool.
I just recorded the German Rally on HD Theater. I'll Watch all three days of it Labor day. I think that this is the greatest thrill in autosports. I can't wait until the Mini Countryman is entered. I really don't care if it wins the first year but I sure will be happy to see Kris Meeke finish.
These drivers sure do not have any fear. The Co-Driver is amazing reading at those bumpy speeds and not losing their place. This is really fun to just watch on TV. I sure would like to go to one of the country's and watch live some year. (((I guess I really like all of the safety precautions that are provided to the spectators)))
I sure feel bad for those of you that do not get HD Theater on their tevevision sets.

For 'good bumps', see the Rally Sweden where they are drifting at 100mpg on ice between trees..... They have a place where the late Colin McRae used to get so much air that they have named it Colin's Crest. Here is a fan's compilation of cars going over it this year:
