    The 45,000 mile 2005 R52 JCW 6-Speed sold for 16,750. The last half hour of bidding enabled the car to get to an respectable number which was $3700 more than a slightly lower mileage R53 that recently sold on BaT. I believe it was a fair deal for both parties.

    The 56,000 mile 2003 Chili Red R53 sold for $10,750. Nice clean car that someone should have a lot of fun with.

    The one owner 50,000 mile Pepper White R52 Sidewalk Edition sold for $15,500. A nice buy with the summer season ahead of us.

    For a car that I love like the MINI, it's not always a financial decision. I didn't buy the R53 as an appliance or as an investment (which is your point, I think). I thought "fuck the expense (within reason), I can afford it and it's a thing that I enjoy owning." I IS nice to know, however, that the finances aren't completely unjustified.
