Since first generation cars tend to bring a higher dollar than gen2’s and the last really sharp low mileage 05 R53 only brought 13k you would think that this R56S would top out at 10K. Now having said that watch it go for a lot more.

It might be tough selling this car at a good price with the income tax deadline so close at hand....

On the other hand people have already gotten their returns back are looking for things to buy. I think if this car has problems selling is that convertibles never do as well as hardtops and the last couple of hardtops have not performed that well at auction.

I sold my 2007 R56 to a local club couple, for 9K, it was a good deal back in 2016, I imagine I would buy it back for 5K, if the wanted to sell it back. It was pretty low mileage at tthe time, not sure if they have driven it much. It was pretty modified when I sold it, Jan Tune, lowered swift springs, DBA rotors, ecb brake pads, koni yellows and a bigger rear sway, 22 I think it was, would update to 25 hollow and put on lowest setting. The 270 TQ and 220 HP make for some interesting rotation on track.

So a 90k R56, might bring 7-8 if in decent condition but I would immediately due the WP, and Timing chain, tensiioner etc.

    Just my thougts.

The 45,000 mile 2005 R52 JCW 6-Speed sold for 16,750. The last half hour of bidding enabled the car to get to an respectable number which was $3700 more than a slightly lower mileage R53 that recently sold on BaT. I believe it was a fair deal for both parties.

The 55,000 mile 2011 Mini Cooper Clubman S Hampton 6-Speed sold for $17,500. Once again the last half hour was when the bidding really took off.

This one looks nice, the mid miles work is already done, now someone can drive and fix as needed. Of course, this old man would like a 6 speed, but I really think an automatic would be a nice option in my old age. :)

Still playing around with my 2020 Clubbie, it is hard for me to make up my mind to sell or trade it off, only 2800 miles. :)

I think the 05 is just as good. As far as I know the 05 and 06 are the same.
