We need to get used to prices that are escalating like this, because the entire used and new car market is totally unhinged these days.

My comment on the selling price of GP 0753 was only for that car as it had just sold the month earlier for a decent price considering its overall condition and presentation. The seller had the wheels curb rash repaired, car detailed and as it turns out most importantly had a great photographer do the photo shoot. The dents and stone chips remained but the price went up so congratulations to the seller on a job well done.
Well, 28k for a GP with that mileage is insane, no matter how good the photos are Imagine a 28k budget to build a proper R53 based on a a regular run of the mill R53. Different project though - not going to be the cars and coffee "look what I bought on BAT" unicorn in your town.
The 76,000 mile 2006 Royal Gray R53 JCW 6-Speed sold for $16,950. The last forty five minutes of the auction was where the bidding action was.
The 52,000 mile 2006 R53 GP #0239 was Reserve Not Met with a bid of $23,500. Nice car but the last half hour of bidding was very subdued. Interestingly this car did not do as well as the GP on Cars & Bids.

Wowzer !! With six days of bidding left the 2,600 mile GP2 is at $35,000. Given that there will be some bidding on the final day this is going to be a very pricey acquisition.
