The 1,700 mile Midnight Black 2011 Mini Cooper Convertible 6-Speed Automatic sold for $20,250. Someone just got a virtually brand new convertible for a good price.
Well I am not sure I would touch that thing. Maybe for 5k I would think about it. Chad could not fix it? I doubt anyone can. From someone that bought a car tuned by who knows that car is a lot of work and posable a BIG hart ache! Crazy
I personally don’t have the ability for a project like this one but if the price is low enough someone with knowledge and time could make a go of it or buy it for the parts. This is a no reserve sale so someone is gonna be the new owner.
I think he may ave a problem with the wiring harness. He said “They did preliminary inspection and found the race chip harness melted -which they repaired (assume I routed it incorrectly). They indicated the ECU might have shorted out which was causing the issue.” If it melted the harness there is no telling what els it did. I asked what DT said when the problem returned sounds like he elected not to take it back to them. Not the answer I hoped for. I am watching this one till the end. I really hope someone does not buy it thinking they will take it to their favorite shop and it will be fixed. If someone does get it and gets it fixed I would love to know what was the problem. This has money pit written all over it.
It’s stated that $30,000 has been put in this car since new … I’d say that it is already a money pit between the current and previous owners. This will be an interesting auction to watch especially towards the end when someone thinks they have the answer or knows the value of the parts.
