So, am I nuts, I find the 3 cyl. turbo Cooper intriguing, now if I can speck it to 25K with a few bells and whistles.
I would even opt for the 6 speed...... But must have the sports seats.

I do like the classic green and white like Nathan has configured.-

Saw on the site, top speed 146 MPH...
Maybe downhill from the top of Mount Everest, but unless they've done something dramatic to the aero, I'm scratching my head on that one. Getting near 150 MPH is the holy grail in the MINI.
For my tastes, I can't make the F56 S look decent, the grill just kills it. The base looks quite a bit better than the S...
Forgot how much fun it was to play with the configurator, thanks for posting it.-

Not sure what the 0-60 mph time value is for the S I just built...
But I got from $0-32,595 in 6.1 seconds!!!

It's not linear, it's exponential, and the wall is 145 mph. A linear increase in HP isn't enough to break through it; it takes more HP at higher speeds to accelerate because of the aero. That in a nutshell is where I am coming from; there is a reason 150MPH is extremely difficult in MINIs with much more HP than the F56.

The drag coefficient on the F56 is much lower than an R53. Something like .28 for the F56 and .50 for the R53.
It's a slipperier brick now.-

Figures I've found (at automobile-catalog.com - no idea how accurate they are) say 0.28 for the Cooper and 0.31 for the Cooper S. Since the cross-sectional area won't be much different, if at all, it's yet another demonstration that a combination of wider tyres and more engine cooling air (and hence more internal drag) make a big difference to drag - a 10% increase. This is quite usual for bigger-engined variants of the same model.
A Cd of 0.28 is pretty clever with that upright windscreen, so even if BMW aren't clever enough to cut weight, at least they are good at cutting drag.-
