Its a race you have probably never heard of before thats filled by privateers. The 24 Hours of Dubai was run last weekend with overall win going to a BMW Z4 GT. MINI ran in class A2 - 1600 -1999cc Petrol Engines against 9 other competitors in Renault Clio's, Lotus Elise and assorted Hondas. There's definitely some plastic bits missing from the MINI, meaning there was some rubbing going on. I'd love to know what they did for the R56 engine and drivetrain to help it go the full 24.
