R53 vs R56.... Let's not start this again.... MINIs have never been high on the reliability list. That isn't why we bought them. If we wanted reliability we'd have bought a soul-less Asian marque.

The MINI's quality peeked in 2005 & 2006 everything since then quality and reliability has went down hill with more and more BMW-ish garbage and style and motors.

I heard someone once say "You buy and R53 to Mod it and fix it later, if you buy an R56 and you fix it first so maybe you can mod it later."
