Nice of them, but I figure with what they charge for a new MINI they should give you the whole derned phone, not just a lens for the camera. :p

I wonder if you take a picture of and F56 it returns a picture of an R53 in the same color.

You know so the F56 owners think the have a great looking car and not an ugly overpriced little BMW.

Yes, it was a surprise. But probably because the 2018 Countryman we bought in September is in my wife's name, but they addressed it to me.

It's a clip on lens mount and you screw the lenses into the mount. It attaches to any cell phone or tablet.

Thats pretty cool - my brother had a Gen 1 and said they used to send him all kinds of goodies. Be interesting to see if the lenses work. Take some pics and let us know.

Price and feature wise, how does a MINI compare to a GTI for example. I know that when I first started looking I test drove a JCW loaded. It was in the lower 40's asking price. I was surprised at how much they were as I think my brothers S was in the 20's.. or maybe I'm wrong. That said, I looked up the MSRP of a new F250 like the one I have from 2013... they want 15K more. Sorry, thats loco..

Don't have something nice to say (or constructive), then let that dog rest.

Went to look at your garage.. where is this bad boy? https://www.motoringalliance.com/showcase/member/beken.1406/

You going to put it there? BTW, Fiero's are starting to creep up in price. I wish they had kept building them... had sooo much potential.

I think we are all past the F56. At least I have gotten past it. At first it had a real shock value for me & now it is justa MINI.

Since you asked, GTI's are a deal compared to the cost of a new MINI. I mean if one is into such a thing. For what they want for a new F56 JCW one could buy a Golf R. I mean if one was into such a thing. o_O

Yea - the R32's are bad a$$.. I think they have a newer one also. I wonder what a JCW truly cost out the door... Have to think you can get one in the 30's. I remember when a loaded GTI was in the 20's. Man I'm getting old.

I would take an R32 if somebody gave it to me. I wouldn't be able to get it past my wife though. She's not a VW fan outside of the classic Beetle.

I would rather buy a used Cayman.

The Countryman does have wireless charging built into the armrest console. So a shame they didn't include the phone.

Working on posting the F60 Countryman....I still haven't figured out how to add to the garage yet. Been busy.

The Fiero has won a few awards at various collector car shows but is non-running at this moment. Needs a new clutch. Will put one in sometime this month or next. Car show season is coming up.

Dave.O has a reputation to maintain. I think the snarky attitude is just his calling card. Deep down inside, he's probably a person most people would like. Not saying I do, and not saying I don't. ;)
