    I change oil every 5k and engine still seems pretty tight, 90-100k is really not much for these early motors as long as maintenance has been kept up. I may want your rockers just because it would give me peace of mind after all I am putting a new cam tensioner, new sprocket bolt, new valve cover gasket and might just be happier knowing the rockers are like new also.

    Installing a cam and thinking I might have to do something if I look at my lash caps and determine that I need to replace. Just did not take it into consideration when getting items together valve cover gasket, chain tensioner, special tools etc. and another $300 plus is really going to set my project on back burner.

    Posted note on other site. Don't worry until you remove the valve cover. If you're worried send me photos of your followers and rocker tips. How many miles on your engine?

    Around 90k on motor, will not have a lot of time when I do this job, its a daily driver so it would be a weekend job. I am afraid if I open it up and need these parts I will be screwed and have to button it back up and wait. On the other hand, like you said it may be fine when I open it up but I know the lash caps will probably be brittle and I risk breaking them on removal and reinstall.

    That's getting up there mileage wise but as long as you're on top of oil services you should be good. All the best with the new cam!
