I really hate the way it looks at that angle... the bonnet and boot profile is just too frickin square, and the roof profile is like something glued onto a shoebox as an afterthought by a kindergarden art project. Beltline looks WAAAAAAY to high. Something funky with the way the wheel arches blend visually vs. other MINIs.

I DO like the way it looks from some other angles. But it is just plain fugly to me in that photo.

I think with this MINI, color combinations are going to make or break the look. I think an all black / black will look really nice.

I agree that it will make a BIG difference in minimizing the negatives... And I do like some of the other cars I've seen in other color combos (or with the big azz wing to hide the square butt)... but that trunk profile is just hideous. There's a reason MINIs don't have that.... Looked OK on my TR7.... not on this coupe....

I agree. Top line is too low for the squared off boot and bonnet. Now, it works for the roadster, which reminds me of a TR4.

I agree. The roadster, yes. The coupe, not so much. Looks WAY to squared off in this pic.

I agree all black is the way it will look best.

The one in the picture, looks kind of dreadful IMHO.:eek6: It might be the colors used & having the rockers body colored makes it look very odd. One of the few times black plastic trim may actually look better.

All black would be great. I MIGHT be biased though...

I'm still trying to figure out how "all black" makes the top line higher and rounds off the front and back. Maybe I just need to see it.:lol:

Jim, put on those special rose colored glasses. Heck man you think the roadster looks like a TR4. Maybe if it was yellow with a donut on top? :cornut:
