Why not have a fuel tank made to your specifications? They you wouldn't have to modify an existing tank.

Curious, any updates on the ecoboost project or other projects keeping you out in the shop? Always fun to see a master tech and innovator at work.

    Take care, Don

It’s nice when you have a vision and you actually start putting the pieces parts together and they just start falling in place.

This engine, in addition to being turbo charged and direct fuel injected, also has variable cam timing, so you have cam position sensors and cam phasers......so yeah, a LOT of sensors. But that's how you get 250hp out of 2 Liters and 40 mpg (if you can keep your foot out of it!)

It really is amazing the power we can squeeze out of these little motors.

Wow, lots of work accomplished and lots of great engineering and tinkering. I do not have the patience for this but I do admire a great project and technician.

So, a year or more away from a running project, it should be wonderful. Thanks Dave for all the posts.

Well there must be a hole in one of the wires leaking volts. Look for a puddle of volts under the car & trace back to the leak. ;)

The 308 axel angle is about half of the angle as the picture. I would think it would depend on how the spider gears are riding in the hub. If you have an old axel you could pull the boot back and set it at that angle to see where the spider gears are riding. As long as they are not riding on the edge it should be ok. Also maybe reach out to the axel manufacturer to see if they specify a max angel. Last thought. Look at the angle the 4x4 crowd run.

LOL. don’t feel bad. About 3 days ago I was fixing the water pipe on the back of the refrigerator. I tore the house and garage aperture trying to find the hose I ordered. My wife walks in and says isn’t that it on top of the fridge?

    here’s my sign:D
