Call the finance person at your dealer to find out what they charge, the extended maintanence warranty for my MINI was $1750.00.

 

Just picked up my 2012 roadster two days ago I paid 1500.00 for my extended warranty.

 

I was quoted $1,895 for the extended maintenance plan.
The maintenance plan is for maintenance such as oil changes and fluids, and wear and tear items such as brakes. Under the plan, the service must be performed by a MINI dealer.
The maintenance plan that comes with a new MINI is for 3 years/36K miles.


The warranty is for bumper to bumper protection against defective parts.
The new car warranty is for 4 years/50K miles.
I don't have a quote for the extended warranty, but plan to buy it next year when my warranty is close to expiration.

I have heard that it is possible to shop around for better prices for both the extended maintenance plan and the extended warranty. Although I have contact several different dealerships for quotes, not one has gotten back in touch with me.

 

My dealership quoted me $4,000 for the extended warranty. The extended maintenance cost me about $1000.

 

Yeah. My dealership likes to charge $200 for oil changes too....

 

Which dealer do you go too?

I'll be in KC for quite awhile and would dread paying $200 for an oil change.
