As long as they have the car that I want to drive I could care less what else they build. If I were a Porsche 911 owner I wouldn't get upset over the four door or the SUV either. Just give me what I want!

" It was not till 86 when Chrysler introduced the Minivan and that was when the market that segment really took off. "

I also call this time period " the birth of the modern day Soccer Mom" which gave birth to all the other idiot drivers that dont care about anyone else on the road. Next we added the SUV and the Minivan added TV's for kids to watch while Mom and Dad drive like Morons.

Why people don't parent kids like the old days is beyond me. When you are on the road you have so may things to see besides a freaking TV or a damn movie you have see 100 times.

Some of my fondest memories where going to the Jersey Shore in the back of my parents 70's something Chevy Impala that was fire engine Red with Black vinyl seats and NO AC. I just sat in the car listened to whatever my parents had on the radio (Phillies Baseball) and for entertainment I had this very cool thing called a window. When I saw something interesting I asked my parents about it. My Dad also was the kind of guy that would just tell you to "get in the car" to take a drive just to show you something he saw while he was out or take a tour of Valley Forge park and tell me about the history.

My mom complained we where wasting gas at almost $1.00 a gallon. Hahaha but my Dad did not care it was our time and I think it helped make me the car nut I am today while showing me the little world around us.

Ok Sunday morning rant and memories time is over, everyone enjoy your day I am going to wax my MINI and take a nice Sunday drive just to drive and explore the little world around me.

Miss you Mom & Dad RIP

MINI will be just another bland looking BMW :frown5: Yes BMW makes some good mechanically running cars....but....except for the Z4.... I can't tell one from another. Sorry all you BMW owners out there :biggrin5:

ME TOO! Never letting go of my R53---- I figured over time this would happen and this plan bears that out-BMW is becoming the chevy of european brands-we need a car for every niche, and we don't care if they are bland or not.......

So, do you think they will still make something that still looks like the current hatch, or will it go away? If it goes away, then I guess, so do I at that point. Of course at 65, how many more cars am I going to need?

Many of the Porsche faithful did get upset with the 4 door and the SUV. However, it is the SUV and 4 door that bring in the majority of the profits that allow Porsche to keep building better 911's.

Me too. And when that happens, I will look for another R52 (In my case) or R53 to replace the Buick Park Avenue. Someone will always have one for sale with low mileage. So, I have two cars - a 208 inch long Buick and 142 Inch long Mini - the two extremes. Guess which one I drove to Indiana and back last summer - through the Rockies etc.?

Evolution.... BMW becoming the Chevrolet of the EU, folks that is Fiat. :)

I'm hoping to fit a new Roadster into the home lineup, but the more I see of the future F series, not sure, only when I see the actual will it count.

So if I go with the R59, it might be the last new MINI for us. :incazzato:

For now, the 07 MCS and the 11 CM will have to do. If the CM does not work out then I will see what might be the next MINI or not. :confused5:

Don't really know how I feel about this ^^

I guess maybe I will stick to possibly getting a Mini Coupe and making the R53 a bigger project :)
