Don't think, know I just threw up in my mouth..... Running down to the garage and give my R53 a hug!!
I agree with you. Nice car & a hoot to drive, it's just so damn ugly. At least you can't see the outside when you are inside.
I have seen this in the flesh as part of a focus group. It's not that bad (maybe they knew that when selecting people for the focus group!). I have also seen what I am assuming is the F56, which is not extremely different from the R56. I will be saving my pennies until 2014 to acquire an MC50 to go next to my MC40 if they make it
" It was not till 86 when Chrysler introduced the Minivan and that was when the market that segment really took off. " I also call this time period " the birth of the modern day Soccer Mom" which gave birth to all the other idiot drivers that dont care about anyone else on the road. Next we added the SUV and the Minivan added TV's for kids to watch while Mom and Dad drive like Morons. Why people don't parent kids like the old days is beyond me. When you are on the road you have so may things to see besides a freaking TV or a damn movie you have see 100 times. Some of my fondest memories where going to the Jersey Shore in the back of my parents 70's something Chevy Impala that was fire engine Red with Black vinyl seats and NO AC. I just sat in the car listened to whatever my parents had on the radio (Phillies Baseball) and for entertainment I had this very cool thing called a window. When I saw something interesting I asked my parents about it. My Dad also was the kind of guy that would just tell you to "get in the car" to take a drive just to show you something he saw while he was out or take a tour of Valley Forge park and tell me about the history. My mom complained we where wasting gas at almost $1.00 a gallon. Hahaha but my Dad did not care it was our time and I think it helped make me the car nut I am today while showing me the little world around us. Ok Sunday morning rant and memories time is over, everyone enjoy your day I am going to wax my MINI and take a nice Sunday drive just to drive and explore the little world around me. Miss you Mom & Dad RIP
I couldn't agree with you more Dave.... my only difference? My sister and I in the back of my dad's Gran Torino
 I remember riding in the back of my Dad's Dodge Coronet, him driving with his left hand while blindly swatting at my sister and I, because we were fighting in the back seat about who was on whose side of the car! Dave
fond memories of riding in the third seat (which faced rearward) of my Dad's 57 Chevy 210 station wagon (283 - 4bbl) with the rear window locked in the up position and all the exhaust fumes and dirt coming in all over us. Maybe that's why I love the smell of exhaust and my haead is screwwed on a little differently. I wouldn't change those days for anything.
