SAN FRANCISCO (KTVU and wires) – Police say a compact car discovered early Tuesday at the foot of a massive cliff near the Yerba Buena Island lighthouse was stolen. According to police, the car was stolen from Oakland and registered to an owner in Berkeley. San Francisco fire dispatch said they received a call reporting the car on the rugged, rocky shoreline at the base of a several hundred foot cliff at 7:13 a.m. A rescue team and boats were dispatched to the scene, but did not find any victims of the crash, dispatchers said. Investigators were trying to determine how the car got on the beach. Yerba Buena Island connects the eastern and western spans of the Bay Bridge and also includes a U.S. Coast Guard station. Additional details on the stolen car have not been released. News Chopper Video can be found at Stolen car found at base of Yerba Buena Island cliff - KTVU -
After watching the video, I have no clue how that MINI got to the base of the cliff. Wonder what the damage level was to the MINI?
The rear end so high off of the ground suggests to me that the ex stole it, drove it there, and got it stuck high on a BFR and left it. "Want or won't let me out of alimony and the house, I'll show you!" :eek6::lol: Jason
Maybe it's connected to the phony candidate Hillary being in The City. That owner was more likely willing to sacrifice a fine MINI, than to vote for that wicked witch... I applaud the gesture!
