Good to know.... My car was originally ordered and delivered through Prestige.
I go by that dealership when I travel up to do press checks for work. I'm gonna stop in next time!

That's cool they still send the "Field Kit", or at least that's what it was called when I got one from my '09.

 

They did something similar when I picked up my MCS earlier this year. They have a small final make-ready spot at the STL dealer; my MA spent quite a bit of time with us as we prepared to shove off. He didn't show me too much, but was willing to, however since I'd visited *four* times since ordering, he was aware that I was pretty warmed-up on most things!

I'm thinking they'll have more of a delivery spot at their new building, a la Saturn etc. more dedicated to send-offs. Even now, though, you could tell that "orientation" is supposed to be part of their routine.

Prestige in North Jersey still does it. They even take pictures of new owners and their cars and put it on the dealership Facebook page.

It depends on the dealer and the amount of fun they have I've been into one that I couldn't wait to get out of because the atmosphere was so high browed...
