That looks interesting, not half bad. Where's the rest of the tailgate though and how well will it rock-crawl?

I think they did a great job handling the design. I wish it wasn't lifted to keep in line with the moke styling...but that doesn't bother me too much. It makes more sense lifted anyways.

I'm sure you'd have it on airbags in no time. Oddly though even with the lift they've maintained about the same amount of wheel gap thanks to the oversized tires.

It will be interesting to see a modern Moke.

Do you really think they'll build this one? Despite what the press release says I can't believe it would fare well in side impact testing (among other things) and that says poor sales figures to me.

We'll see. My gut feeling is since they pushed the SUV back to release the coupe and roadster, they might scrap the whole suv idea.

My first thought was that it would be great for more northern climes, but soft sided doors could be an issue in real cold weather. But it would be a blast in the snow.

+1 This is the first MINI concept in recent history that I've seen that makes me think "I'd rock that" and that's coming from a guy who's owned some Jeeps before.

That's just a Cabrio with the doors cut out. When I was a kid, we would get old VW bugs, weld the doors shut, knock out all the glass, instant dune buggy!
