I just spent (wasted) a good chunk of my Saturday morning watching hill climb videos and noticed a Fiat 500 abarth and many fwd cars but no MINI's. why not? I would think an R53 or 56 would be competitive. What am I missing?
This is the only one I know of: http://www.motoringalliance.com/forums/racing-mini-s/18142-mini-2013-pikes-peak.html#axzz2Xfr9UWjo
There was a team the past few years that attempted Pikes Peak in a MINI. She didn't fare that well but did improve year over year. That driver has moved onto other series in a different make now.
I wasn't counting purpose built WRC Countrymans (men's?) I was just wondering why no R53s or R56 MINIs if there are old Golfs, Peugeots and Renaults. I think these hill climbs were in Portugal and Italy. I would think a MINI would be quick around those tracks. No chance at anything extreme like Pike's Peak.:confused5:
