They covered this at the MINI social I attended. Essentially they are working on small living spaces, similar to small houses. Its not unusual for designers to work other media. Porsche for example has their designers work other areas to keep their minds “creative” compared to working the same projects. That said, its usually with other designs having to do with items “around” the brand. Bikes, sunglasses etc.. Haven’t seen one move into architecture. Hard core MINI fans can have a dorm room designed by MINI.
